The Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona is seeking a dynamic Senior Economic Forecaster to join Economic and Business Research Center (EBRC) team. This position will manage the EBRC Forecasting Project, which includes building/maintaining econometric forecasting models for Arizona and its metropolitan/nonmetropolitan areas as well as tax revenue forecasting for state and local governments. This position will be responsible for writing regular publications and making presentations to forecasting project clients, as well as presentations to the community. This position will manage a long-standing, high-profile forecasting effort in Arizona, using structural econometric models to forecast key regional macroeconomic indicators (jobs, population, income, tax revenues).

Requirements
Develop, review and maintain custom regional econometric models to forecast Arizona state and local economic activity and tax revenues for clients. Diagnose problems and develop solutions for existing model equations and model structures as needed.
Prepare publications and presentations interpreting complex economic data and explaining to clients and the general public the current and forecast economic performance for the U.S., Arizona, and its regions. Provide strategic insights and knowledge transfer on national, state, and local economic performance to leaders both internally and externally to support their decision making.
Prepare regular quarterly/annual forecast updates using EBRC proprietary models for clients. Prepare and post online files for distribution to clients.
Assist with other data collection, studies, and projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of building/using structural econometric models to forecast regional economic variables, such as jobs, income, population, tax revenues, etc.
Advanced knowledge of statistical software such as EViews, R, STATA, SAS, or comparable platforms for forecasting.
Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality publications.
Exceptional presentation and public-speaking skills.
